Add and Activate Custom Tracking Domain

Table of Contents

For advanced MailPion users, above 1,000 subscribers, we give the facility to add a tracking domain. Tracking domain gives the ability to the user to add their own tracking domain name which appears as a link inside the email content body.

By default, without this setting, all the hyperlinks inside the email content body look like, https://app.mailpion.com/**** or and so on. However, this is rarely observed inside the email body by subscribers who are receiving emails. But, many times, large email campaign organizers like to have their own tracking domain links inside the email body content. After you have configured the tracking domain correctly, your hyperlink inside the email body will look like this, http://tracking.your-domain.com/****.

How to add a tracking domain:

  1. From the Dashboard left menu, select “Delivery server” then “Tracking Domain“.
  2. Click the “Create New” button and on the next screen, add a subdomain only (not the main domain) with the format “tracking.your-domain.com“.
  3. Finally, add a DNS CNAME record for the subdomain “tracking.your-domain.com” and point it to app.mailpion.com.

PS: Currently, MailPion accepts tracking domains of the format “tracking.your-domain.com” only.

Activate Tracking Domain: #
